Loved the walk there, you can smell the ocean! This is the place to go if you want to see birds and other wildlife.

Fantastic hike. Best time to hike this trail is at low tide. At high tide all the marshes are covered. The entire trail is covered in gravel so your shins will hurt. First 4 km (from Halifax side) is especially great and over the water. Last 2.5km mostly in trees, not really that scenic but still worth the effort.

Went twice and plan on going back a lot more. Great plave for walking, biking, and bringing your dog.

If you want more of a challenge, after coming from the Halifax side of the trail, you can continue onto the Atlantic view trail, (which in my opinion is equal or better).

On my trip my family and I went biking. I do not reccomend cycling with road tires, as some parts of the trail have really chunky gravel. The views are amazing, but it can get busy on peak times like Sundays. Better to go on less busy times because it is quite narrow and hard to pass pedestrians.
